Becker Electric is a micro-small business (registered Local Business Enterprise for the City of San Francisco and a registered small business for the State of California). We are a financially secure business with a bonding capability of $3,000,000 for any single project.
We offer the following services:
Design Assistance and Value Engineering
During the bid, we review pertinent specifications and drawings to assure the proposed design and installation is code compliant and cost effective. During this process we often identify design and installation alternatives that save installation costs or improve equipment delivery. At your request we will prepare and submit Requests for Information (RFIs) to obtain concurrence from the Engineer of Record as part of our bid process.
We obtain all permits necessary for the installation. Acting as your general contractor, this includes building permits when the emergency power system is the only modification made to a facility. If new metering is required, we will coordinate with the local utility to meet their specifications. Becker Electric will acquire the necessary tank closure permits for the existing emergency generator base tank, day tank, or fuel storage tank. For generators over 50MWe, we will work with the Engineer to obtain required air quality permits.
We can provide confirmatory breaker coordination studies to assure all breakers are sized properly. We also provide anchorage calculations with housekeeping pad design or wall mounting that meet your projects seismic design criteria.
We will develop and submit a schedule that meets your project milestones. We will provide periodic updates that demonstrate progress and reflect any changes.
Equipment Submittals and shop drawings
We provide detailed equipment submittals and shop drawings per project specification requirements.
